Prospective Graduate Students

If you are interested in our lab’s research, consider applying to the Ph.D. program. It is recommended that you contact Dr. Christine Chiarello personally to express your interest and describe your background. We welcome students with various backgrounds who have an interest in language and brain structure/function. We expect to admit 1-2 new graduate students for the upcoming academic year.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

If you are a sophomore, junior, or senior at UCR with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and would like to obtain research experience in our lab, we ask that you fill out an application here. We will contact you for an interview if we are in need of undergraduate research assistants. We keep applications on file for one year. We ask for a time commitment of 3 quarters, for 10-12 hours per week. We provide excellent opportunities for motivated undergraduates to participate in our ongoing research, and are particularly interested in recruiting bilingual research assistants.
